  LESSON ROUND-UP

THROUGH PAST EXPERIENCES, I expected this project to be something within my range. I expected this to be something that I could do, especially on my own because I took some classes (Very naive and cocky of me, I know). However, it was only the moment when I delved deeper into the lesson that I realized that coding and creating a website, such as this one -- are two very different things. And two very different things can have two very different approaches, despite the commonalities they may have and share. So, I was struggling through the process of making everything. From the headline down to this. I initially thought that my previous knowledge of coding and graphic design could help me, but it seems that I still have a long way to go. I had to ask for help from my family and friends. For I seek and knowledge through personal tutors rather than those from the internet such as YouTube tutorials and step-by-step journals. Having to go through many different websites, through many different blog-making sites, trying to find the one that fits my skill set best. That, in itself, was hard and difficult. Nonetheless, with some help, I was able to push through with everyone's guidance. Choosing this program was definitely best for me since it was much easier to manipulate and categorize. I was glad and grateful for my friend in recommending it to me since I am such a beginner in such cases and classes. After a few minutes of tutorial and figuring things out on my own, I started coming up with ways in which I could make it easier for me, in which I could also own and use my other skills, especially in graphic design. And, with that, I used CANVA to make the small collage above. To describe who I am as a person, and what I do like myself. "Trust the process." And trust the process, I did. Personally, for someone who is new to this kind of environment, I find the final output quite eye-pleasing with the violet-colored palette and the simplicity of the design. I am quite proud of myself, which is something I don't really say about myself. So, I am happy to learn everything about this and hope to learn much more in the near future. Though, I wish I could go beyond than with what I did now. This and plus the coding classes I took in tenth grade, taught me so much. Like (1), how making a website has much more depth than simply codes and design, that it a much deeper aspect to it that I have both yet to learn and discover. (2) THAT MAKING A WEBSITE, and just programming in general, IS SUCH A DIFFICULT JOB. No wonder my uncle has his own sleepless nights and tired low-energy mornings. Much respect to those who program the websites and links that we all see today. (3) This made me realize to be very patient when it comes to both making websites, and using them. This is no easy job, especially for the unprepared. Glitching and lagging are problems we have all experienced more than once, but o we have to be understanding that it is no cakewalk for programmers to fix such things in a snap of a finger. This leads me to say to myself (4): be grateful for today's technology, for the growth and easy access to communicate well with our family and friends. To live in an advanced world is something to be thankful for.
